The 93 SHORT WHEEL BASE buses ( SWB’s ) of TNSTC Coimbatore’s Ooty region

TNSTC – Coimbatore’s Ooty region received 62 SMALL BUSES under HADP fund, 13 SMALL BUSES under state government funds where 1 was transferred to Erode region’s Anthiyur Branch, 5 buses built in AIS 052 code and old 14 buses are still doing their services successfully.Here is the informations, photos, route details, depot details of all the 93 SMALL BUSES under Ooty region which belongs to Mettupalayam Branch -2, Coonoor Branch, Kothagiri Branch, Ooty Branch 1, Ooty Branch 2 and Gudalur Branch.Here are all the 93 buses after conversion from Green colour to Blue colour.

TN 43 N 0520 of Ooty region’s Kothagiri Branch in Route – Kothagiri to Kengarai.

TN 43 N 0523 of Ooty region’s Ooty Branch 2 in Route – Ooty to Arayatti.

TN 30 N 1512 – New Livery Rebuilt TATA of TNSTC SALEM

TN 30 N 1512 – Ex Salem to Dindigul Moffussil bus later downgraded and recently sent to Rebuilt has been constructed by Gemini Coach, Karur with New Livery and has been allotted in Route Number : 13 – Town Bus Stand to Junction.

Moffussil buses under Valparai Sector

TNSTC Coimbatore’s Valparai region operates various moffussil routes to Tirupur, Perundhurai, Salem, Shekalmudi, Korangumudi, Palladam, Udumalpettai, Pazhani, Coimbatore, Ingiparai, High Forest, Sholayar Dam.

Totally 27 buses are operated from Pollachi Branch 2 and Valparai Branch.

Few years back 15 to 20 buses were transferred from Ooty region to Valparai inorder to replace the old buses.

Currently these buses have crossed nearly 18 years and are still serving.

A request from our side, We request the respective government and officials to take an immediate action to replace the old buses running in Valparai as they are in very poor condition and at any time a dangerous cause can happen.

People of Valparai are struggling to travel in the buses as during rainy seasons water gets leaked inside the buses, bus body conditions are really bad.

Our TNSTC is doing their best in maintaining these buses to do their services in a safe manner.

We request government would take immediate measure and action to replace these buses.

TN 58 N 2372 – Madurai to Erode Green to Blue converted bus

TN 58 N 2372 of TNSTC Madurai’s Madurai region Sholavanthan Branch bus operating in route – Madurai to Erode via Dindigul.Recently bus has been converted to Blue from Green.

TML 4569 – CHERAN TRANSPORT CORPORATION – CTC

TML 4569 which ran as CTC – CHERAN TRANSPORT CORPORATION built by Cheran Engineering Corporation ( CEC ) – Body building unit of TNSTC Coimbatore.Ran as Town bus in Route – 5 – Pollachi to Kozhikuttai.
